Nice everyday mascara
This one funky mascara, permanently attached into the purple faux crock case, stands out in the sea of eye products. I adore the brush - it's long and well designed, I can get every single eye lash with ease, and the ink is wet, slightly gel like, it coats lashes easily and makes them look very long. I can't stand the dry, crumbly ones that dry up after a week or two of using, this seems to stay fresh for a while even thought I replace my mascara at least once a month. Also the makeup looks good all day, nothing flakes off after a few hours and the look is natural but pretty.
No clumps and globs, but long lush lashes, I will definitely buy this again. This is part of Tarte's natural line, with purer extracts, and I like it, it's not missing out on any of the chemical additives that are so lushly used in today's world.

I see why this was rated the top beauty product of the year! I LOVE it!
A few months ago, prior to my birthday, I came across an article where they asked the top beauty editors, retail buyers from beauty stores like Sephora, etc. to list what they felt were the top beauty products of the year. There were 10 products they all agreed were best and this was one. I decided to treat myself to a few on this list.
First, let me say I have been on a quest for the best mascara since I was 16 and could wear makeup. I'd tried things that were all the rave and it either didn't extend my lashes or wound up under my eyes by the end of the day. I came close to being happy many times but never got giddy over a mascara.
I read the reviews on this on various sites before buying. I wasn't gonna splurge again just on the advice of beauty editors. I went to the dot com sites of several stores where it's sold and you can rate it online.
THEN I got the mascara in the mail **chorus of angels sings with the chipper of birds who fly with silk sashes around their hands**
THIS IS IT! I rejoice.
Now, I'll just own it and lay it the table right here and tell you I care enough about my lashes to buy Latisse to extend them ( I get it cheap. Long story. But that stuff works.) So I'm a bit obsessed in the long lash arena. I'm not easily impressed.
This not only thickened my lashes but took them right up to my eyebrows.
(maybe I just need a forehead lift and that's not impressive...ha...but let's put it this way...they REACHED far more than any other mascara had taken em)
But don't take my word for it...I sent this in a makeup kit for my mom fof mothers day with lots of other items and to one of my best friends for her birthday with some other goodies...and both called me to discuss MASCARA and how good it was.
So yeah, I'd say.
I agree. I wont switch now. this is mascara of the Gods in my book.
Comes in a super cool leather or leather looking reptile case as well.
Slightly above average
This is a decent mascara, but I don't think it's as earth-shattering as other reviewers say it is.
The pros: It has a good applicator wand, which allows you to easily coat every lash. The mascara itself doesn't flake and definitely adds length. Plus, the purple croc case is pretty awesome.
The con: Tarte claims that this is a great curl-defining mascara, and I disagree. It makes my lashes look longer, but not curly. If I apply too much, my eyes look spider-like, which is a turn-off unless it happens to be Halloween.
Overall, this certainly isn't the worst mascara out there, but it isn't the best, either. I'll continue to buy the Dior and Too Faced brands.
