About the Author
T. Joseph Lin, PhD, is a fellow and emeritus member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC). Lin has been working as an independent consultant for the past 32 years, specializing in emulsion technology and process engineering. He has published numerous scientific papers on emulsion technology, rheology and process engineering, and received a number of awards from the SCC, including the International Flavor and Fragrance Award and Literature Award among others, for his research work. In 2001, Lin received the SCC s highest honor-the Maison G. de Navarre Medal Award-in recognition of his contributions to scientific research, including his pioneering work on low-energy emulsification.
